Dex's claws were inches away from Hisyaryumon's body, when he cried out in pain from the many needles that now flew into his back, many hitting his wound, which still pained him.

"Why you little..." Dex growled, turning to face the catus that attacked him. "You want to die first? Fine, it dosn't matter to me either way!" He then charged Togemon at full speed, his claws still large and sharp. As they were currently covered in metal, he didn't need to worry about the thorns on her body as he headed to slice her to bits.

Hisyaryuumon's vision came back into focous as he realized that he was currently in the path of Turuimon's attack. After that was finished (weather it hit or not) Gaogamon had fired a tornado at Machinedramon, and told everyone to send their attacks into it. Using the attack he had saved up for Machinedramon, flames bellowed from Hisyaryuumon's mouth, combining with the tornado to set it a blaze. Perhaps with the added help from one of Zamj's attacks, it would be hot enough to melt that metal armor Machinedramon wore.

Turuimon let out a little gasp as she missed. 'Great.' she thought as she was heading toward Hisyaryuumon now. Moving her claw arm out of the way she did her best to dodge the other digimon. She collided with Hisyaryuumon's side with her shoulder. Landing with a small oof on the ground "At least I got my attack out of the way."

Togemon looked over as Machindramon's attack came in her direction. What didn't help the fact was Dex was now heading toward her as well. "This is getting exhausting." she said to herself. Having a split second and crazy idea she jumped far back, letting the energy from Machindramon's blast add its push. Hopefully the blast will keep her and Dex apart long enough to get back to her senses. Pushing herself back up with great effort she looked over at the tornado attack that was heading to Machindramon. Feeling very weak from the shock waves of several of Machindramon's attack and other attacks today she let out a breath. "Here goes nothing." she said to herself.

Drawing the rest of the energy she had into her attack. "Needle Spray!" a spray of needles joined the tornado, giving it small black specks. The attack seemed to have more boost then she did before. Falling back she turned into Palmon, still feeling weak. Hopefully no more battles today... the thought drifted through her mind as she watched the tornado as more attacks came to hit.

Seeing the tornado and the attacks got added to it Turuimon quickly got in position to add her on attack. She closed her eyes and gained as much focus as possible. These attacks were going to be all or nothing. "Ninja Fist." a ball of pink energy from her boosted attack joined the tornado, giving it a sheen.

Zmaj hesitated, all her instincts told her to just abandon this crazy plan. Even combined all they could hope to do was some minimal damage to Machinedramon's outer armor. After that... the monster could still rampage while most of them would be out of luck. She followed behind Ace anyway, he had come with her this far and the least she could do was to follow him now. Even if she didn't have any loyalties towards the other humans turned digimon present, this little adventure with the canine digimon had earned him a certain level of her camaraderie, which was a rare thing for sure.

She listened to him call out and watched the others add their attacks to his, and it just wasn't enough. It would hurt Machinedramon, maybe, but it still wasn't enough. "d**n it all, I KNOW better then this." She thought even as she opened her mouth and called out her own attack. "Exhaust Flame!" Exhaust Flame was definitely a more powerful flame attack then her explosive spheres, but usually restricted to short range usage.

But now, shot into the Gaogamon's Spiral Blow the flames were picked up in a twisting whirlwind, much the same as it had been back when they had been fending off the falling blocks of the ceiling. Together with all the other attacks, it now shot towards Machiendramon. But she did know better, almost at the same time both her and Ace's attacks cut out and their forms were swallowed up in the glow of de-digivolution. Seconds later the light vanished to reveal Zmaj, now back in her Guilmon form. She turned to Ace only to notice that he wasn't beside her anymore, not until she looked down at least.

Seeing the Wanyamon was frightening to her. The one person she'd trusted in this battle was now official out of the fight, and as a rookie she couldn't put up much of a resistance herself. Not even stopping to see what kind off effect the combined attack had she snapped her jaws down and picked up the in-training digimon by fur behind it's ears. "We're going." She said between her mouthful of fuzz and ran back into the thick trees.

She did stop a couple yards back, because curiosity got the better of her, to look behind and see if the giant form of Machinedramon would appear over the tops of the trees to chase after them.

"Giga Blaster!" Machinedramon roared, shooting his cannons at the whirlwind, "even your combined power isnt enough!" Machinedramon yelled, as after some difficulty his cannons started pushing the whirlwind, "shame, maybe if you were of higher level, you could have fought back successfully, ah well!" Machinedramon yelled, as the whirlwind was starting to get driven into the ground, if it hadnt been for Hiharyuumon's attack, then it would have vanished already.

((now you can either attack Machinedramon while he is attacking the whirlwind, or you can leave now and live to fight another day and try and get to a higher level or find some people who can like Falcomon, what you do is up to you, oh and razum and miashin, your characters arent gonna come under chase from Machinedramon, he didnt notice you leave.

Waynamon couldn't help but give a weary grin as Zmaj carried him away. "Yeah, going's a good idea." Feeling completely drained, he gave a slight sigh. "Sorry about insisting on that last attack... I know it was reckless, but those others helped us. I couldn't just leave them. At least now they have a chance to get away." And I know that Zmaj trusts me, and thinks of me as at least a comrade, if not a friend. I wouldn't be alive right now if she didn't. With the grin still on his face, Waynamon did his best to stay still to make Guilmon's carrying easier as they headed away from the battlesite.

(Oh, Miashin, you can start a new topic if you want. Your turn to lead the story.)

Hisyaryuumon watched as their tornado of attacks was reduced to nothing by Machinedramon. As much as he hated to admit it, he most likely was right. Even in his new form, it would only be a matter of time till he was worn out. He flew over and landed before Turuimon and Togemon.

"Guys, De-digivolve and hop onto my back!" He commanded, with no time to waste. They had to leave while Machinedramon was pre-occupied with the remnants of their last attack, as it was their only window of opportunity. "We have to regroup before we can take him on. Hurry!"

Palmon just stood up, it was a nice shot but they had to get out of here. Climbing up on Hisyaryuumon's back. Her relief to leave this battle scene took over her side feeling of feeling of not being able to go against efficiently against Machindramon.

Turning back to Lopmon she joined Palmon. Her muscles were tense and she wished she just kept with her non-fighting motto. She let out a sigh and thought to herself. 'Now what? she didn't want to voice out her confusion. They didn't plan what to do after they beat Machindramon, let alone what to do if they failed that.

"I suggest you guys hang on." Hisyaryuumon said after his two passengers were safely on board. "Its my first time flying."

With that, he took off, his long serpentine body lifting off of the ground, lifting them into the sky. He gained altitude at a very fast rate, Machinedramon soon looking much smaller down on the ground. He didn't know exactly where he was going, but one thing was for sure: It was away from here.

At this point, Dex would normally ask what his master would like him to do in this type of situation, but this time, he did not hesitate to take off and follow after. He didn't intend for them to get away unharmed, not after they caused him to fail his current mission. And also... there was something else he needed to check in to...

A metal sphere narrowly flew by Hisyaryuumon's head, drawing his attention to see Dex chasing them. Several more metal spheres were fired at them, causing Hisyaruymon to have to do some pretty fancy maneuvers to get out of their way.

"Hang on guys!" Hisyaryuumon called to his passengers as he attempted to dodge the oncoming attacks. Despite all of his efforts, the metal spheres were still cutting it close to his body, and he could only hope that one of them would not knock off his passengers. It was a long fall to the ground from here...

Machinedramon finally knocked the whirlwind away, looking up he could barely see the ultimate anymore, "grr, thats annoying, i cant even fly up to get them, guess im going to have to give up the chase, that fool will probably get himself killed one way or the other, he is of no more use to me" Machinedramon saiddarkly, before stomping off in the opposite direction, he was in a vile mood, deleting any small digimon that was still alive from the fight.

Hisyaryuumon had noticed that Machinedramon had ceased to attack them. Beginning to be annoyed by the constant fire of metal spheres, he veered around to face their peruser.

"Why are you still chasing us!" He demanded. "Your 'master' has already lost interest in us! Whats your problem!"

Dex flew downward so he was eye-level with the dragon, before replying.

"Now now... when you talk like that, I get the impression that you don't like me..." He said sarcastically.

"I don't." Ryuu' replied. "You never planned to let Hikaru go. You were just going to use me until you found some way of getting rid of me!"

"My my, it your sharper then you look. How long did it take you to get that through your pea-sized brain?"

"Your the one whos stupid here!" Ryuu' shot back "Im an ultimate now! I can blow you to bits easily! Why are you still chasing us!"

"Hmm..." Dex said "I guess, im just in a good mood. I kind of feel like I can do anything now."

"Good mood?" Ryuu asked "About what?"

At this time, Dex began to chuckle. It was clear, he did seem very happy about something, in his own evil little way.

"I havn't been holding back, have I?" He asked "Ive been blasting away at you all the way here, knowing very well your 'little friends' can easily fall off. Wouldn't you think I would have stopped by now, at least once?"

Ryuu blinked. It was true. Dex had attacked him before, but never harmed him or those close to him to an extreme extent. Hikaru always held him back. Why not now?

"What did you do?" He asked in a demanding tone. Something different, and not in a good way.

"Me?" Dex defended "Why, I did nothing at all. It was all you. Your the reason all this is happening."

"Me" Ryuu said in disbelief "How could it possibly be me? What are you getting at?"

"That look in your eyes. Before you threw yourself infront of that lazer, I saw detirmination in them, not just yours, but your brothers as well."

"WHAT?" Ryuu exclaimed in disbelief. "What are you talking about?"

"It was the exact same look your brother had when he responded to my e-mail. Your detirmined not to let anything get in your way anymore, right? You don't want to hold back anymore, or have others hold back for you, right?

...Or should I say, both of you dont want to be held back."

"What are you talking about!" Ryuu growled "Stop trying to mess with me and just spit it out!"

"Fine." Dex replied, smirking "To put it simply, your brother isn't inside of me, like I had initially thought. Hes inside of you."

Ryuu remained silent. Inside of him? Really?

"I was correct in assuming I had completely consumed your brothers consciousness when I invaded his body after dragging him to this world. It appears though, a bit of it split off. Consider it like leftovers." Dex explained "And that tiny bit of his spirit latched onto the very next thing to come through that gate, otherwise known as you."

"Your lying." Ryuu said "How could you possibly know any of this? How can you be so sure?"

"Eh, call it a hunch." He said "But nevertheless, through you, and your never-ending hope that he might just regain control of this body if you gave him enough time, his spirit was able to halt my actions, to a small extent at least. But not anymore. You know why? You finally realized that either I kill you, and both of your data becomes mine, or you kill me, and if your brother dosn't come back, you at least stop my misuse of his body.

Tell me, am I warm?"

Ryuu simply floated in place, still glaring Dex down, but not speaking.

"Let me tell you this then:" Dex continued, and floated up to Ryuu "Dispite our current difference in power, It will be me doing the killing here. I need your data to complete my plans and achieve my goals. Yes, I am not out to kill you just on a grudge, so you can stop wondering.

I assure you though, the next time we meet, your data will become mine. Untill then though, I will let you live a bit longer while I prepare myself. I admit, I am weak now, but I assure you, I will not be the next time you lay eyes on me. Untill then, I bid you farewell."

With that, Dex flapped his wings and flew away from the eastern dragon, with Ryuu watching him as he dissapeared over the horizon. He floated in place for a while, staring at the area Dex had flown off to and thinking about what he had said, before finally turning, and flying off himself. He did not speak to Palmon or Lopmon the entire flight.
